2011-2012 POWERADE California Boys’ Basketball Rankings: Preseason ranked the Bishop Alemany High School Warriors as one of the top 20 teams in the state.
Bishop Alemany High School Warriors are loaded with experienced returning players and youth. The electrifying Max Guercy (5-7 jr. PG) will be one of the focal points of the squad averaging 15 points per game from last year. Brothers Marqueze and Michael Coleman will benefit on the wings from Guercy’s abilities at the point, while Bear Henderson is a 6-foot-5 wing that can collect rebounds and score as well.
The Los Angeles Times has ranked the Warriors #9 in Southern California and the Los Angeles Daily News ranked the Warriors number #3 in the San Fernando Valley. Top Players to watch this year are Marqueze Coleman, who signed early this year with the University of Nevada, and Max Guercy. Other Warriors to watch are Michael Coleman, KJ Moffett, Brandon Boyd, Razhaun “Bear” Henderson and freshman Malik Anderson. The Warriors are coached by Tray Meeks, who has been the Warriors Head Coach for the past seven years. The last two years he lead the Warriors to the 2010 CIF Finals and in 2011 to the CIF Semifinals. These last two years have been the most successful in Bishop Alemany Boys Basketball’s 56-year history.

Bishop Alemany High School strongly supports the interscholastic athletic program. We field twenty-two sports teams with more than 800 students participating annually. We have a competitive sports program, which is a member of the California Interscholastic Federation, Southern Section (CIFSS), the Catholic Athletic Association (CAA), and the Mission League. We encourage as many students as possible to participate in the athletic program. All athletes are required to have a physical exam before they can participate. Bishop Alemany High School is a pilot school for the Josephson Foundation program recently adopted by the Mission League, Pursuing Victory with Honor.
