Professional Development Sessions

Glendale, CA (January 20, 2012) Holy Family High School College Preparatory has taken teaching to a whole new level. We are working to ensure the practicality and usefulness of a new tool introduced to our high school, the infamous Apple iPad. The Professional Development session taking place on January 28, 2012, will be focusing on the successful integration of the iPad into the classroom. Faculty will be given an opportunity to hear from teachers and professionals who have already accomplished the integration of the iPad into their classroom. They will share with us the strengths and weaknesses of the iPad, and how they have harnessed the power of these machines to aid them in their teaching, and as a result, experienced improved student learning.

Technology is a big part of student life. As principal of Holy Family High School College Preparatory, Ms. O’Sullivan believes that the success of our students not only depends on their achievements within in the Catholic community but is also a firm believer of academic excellence within the classroom- “I’m excited to be the first all girls Catholic High School to implement this type of technology. Holy Family High School College Preparatory will continue to update technology as it continues to evolve”.

As we continue to move forward with the iPad’s at Holy Family High School College Preparatory it very important as educators to be comfortable with the iPad tablets. As pioneers in this new educational movement we intend to utilize the wonderful assets available to us.
