Where Can I Get A Grant Application?
All grant applications will be available on the Department of Catholic Schools website (www.lacatholicschools.org/max-2-0/whats-new/).
Who Can Submit A Grant Application?
All parish elementary schools and archdiocesan and parish high schools.
Who Must Prepare And Submit The Grant Application?
An application must be submitted for each grant a school chooses to apply for. All applications must be signed by the principal.
What Criteria Will Be Taken Into Consideration By The Grant Review Committee?
Several areas will be taken into consideration when evaluating grant applications, such as, but not limited to:
- Does the school have a marketing team consisting of three or more members?
- Does the school’s marketing team have a Marketing Team Leader?
- Does the school have a marketing strategic plan including strategies, tasks/due dates, team meeting schedule, outreach activities, calendar, etc.
- Did the school’s marketing team actively engage in MAX LA’s Creative Marketing Think Tank (CMTT) meetings?
- Did the school increase and/or maintain its enrollment since the October 2009 census?
- Did TIER II: PIONEERS schools meet the prerequisites as defined in the MAX LA Program Services document?
Who Can Apply for the “Creative Marketing Grant for up to $5,000 for Marketing Materials, Promo Videos, etc.”
All TIER I: INNOVATORS, TIER II: PIONEERS and VISION 360 parish elementary schools; and archdiocesan and parish high schools can apply for this monetary grant.
Who Can Apply for“$45,000 for Demographic, Economic and Competitive Intelligence Research Grant for up to 30 Schools to be conducted by Loyola Marymount University, Center for Catholic Education?”
All TIER I: INNOVATORS, TIER II: PIONEERS and VISION 360 parish elementary schools; and archdiocesan and parish high schools can apply for this In-Kind Consultant Services grant.
Who Can Apply for “$500,000 – $700,000 for Consulting Services In-Kind Grant.”
All TIER II: PIONEERS parish elementary schools can apply for this In-Kind services grant.
Who Can Apply for the Marketing Gift Cards?
Two gift cards will be distributed at each of the four monthly Creative Marketing Think Tank (CMTT) meetings throughout the 2011 – 2012 school year.
When Will The Grant Applications Be Available?
There will be three grant cycles, they are as follows:

PLEASE NOTE: VISION 360 schools may be considered TIER II: PIONEERS if they have an enrollment increase and they meet the TIER II: PIONEERS prerequisites as defined in the MAX LA Program Services document. Please consult with the MAX LA team to get approval for this special circumstance.
